How to convert CSV files to DXF files.

Sometimes you are given a .CSV file which contains a list of points and you want to have these points placed inside a CAD or DXF file. You may also want to preview the points graphically before saving them to the DXF file. Pointor is the program which does all this for you, as shown below:

There is a free demo so you can try this for yourself. Simpy run the program and drag in you .CSV file into the main window (or use the File | Open command in the menu) and then choose the format using the following dialog:

As you can see from the screenshot below, you get a graphical and text preview of how your point list data will be saved in the DXF file:

If you click on the DXF Options button you can change grid sizes, layernames, text heights and so on. And then, at the very end, you simply save your CSV list of points as a DXF file ready for import into your cad system:
