How to Extract Dxf Block Insert (and other object) Positions into a Pointlist

You can choose to extract not only the Dxf Block Insert positions, but also points, lines, polylines, circles, texts and 3d faces. In the screenshot below I've just chosen INSERTS and you can see from both the preview and the text that there are 14 inserts:

How to extract Dxf Block Insert Positions into a Pointlist

The DXF file has these inserts of at the show positions, and, with Pointor, you can see these points graphically...

...or as a real list...

Of course you can save the data as any or all of the following things:

  1. A point list in txt, csv etc format.
  2. A new DXF file, with circles or points where the block inserts were.
  3. A bitmap image, JPG, GIF, TIF or PNG for example.

Pointor has a demo version which you can download by clicking on the button below:

If you need other entities or formats just contact me, and I'll see what can be done.

After appalling technical support from my credit card handler Verifone I've decided to stop selling Pointor. It may become available as charityware.
